SONY MUSIC ENHANCES ITS CATALOGUE WITH A NATIONAL AWARD WINNING MARATHI FILM – JOGWA

Officially releases the music of the film across all digital & physical platforms from July 26th 2013 onwards

Mumbai. Global music giant, Sony Music is all set to officially release the music of the National Award winning Marathi film – ‘Jogwa’. This film released in the year 2009, has some of the most mesmerising songs. Music director duo, Ajay-Atul created music to blend with the theme of the film and have won many accolades for the music since then.

Commenting on the same, Sanujeet Bhujabal, Marketing Director, Sony Music India said; ‘Music directors Ajay-Atul’s association with Sony Music came into being with the movie Agneepath. We share a great relationship since then and were thrilled to find out that they were eager to officially release the music of the film. We take great pride in releasing the music of this iconic film and we hope the music gets fans to reminisce the film.’

The Rajiv Patil-directed film, ‘Jogwa,’ based on the trials and tribulations of rural men and women who are forced by society to “beg and serve God”, has pocketed many honours: Best Film on Social Issues, Best Playback Singers (male and female) to Hariharan and Shreya Ghoshal and Best Music Direction to Ajay-Atul.

The songs of the movie will be available across all physical and digital platforms. This is the first time ever that Sony Music is releasing the music of a Marathi film. By doing this, Sony Music is slowly & steadily showcasing the best from the industry & enriching its growing repertoire.
