ASTER PUBLIC SCHOOL & POOR GIRL CHILD : WILL MAINSTREAM MEDIA COVER THIS?

ASTER PUBLIC SCHOOL’S ( MAYUR VIHAR, NEW DELHI ) UNFAIR TREATMENT OF POOR GIRL CHILD : Will mainstream media cover this story of fight for justice for equal right to education of girl child ?

Seema is a housemaid and earns her living by working in many houses in Mayur Vihar , Phase 1 , New Delhi – 110091 .Her husband does odd jobs as he does not have any proper employment.Together they earn about Rs. 4500-5000 every month.They want their daughter , T.Pavitra ( Class IV ) , to get good education so that she does not lead the same lifestyle as they do.However,inspite of their several pleadings the school has not bothered to assist them on the ground that they are economically very very poor.They live under constant threat that one day they may not be able to afford school fees and their child’s education will get discontinued .It is not fair.Seema took help of one of the persons ,Mr. Ajay ,in whose house she works who made a visit to the school,made several phone calls for the principal and sent emails but there is no response from the school at all.It seems as if the requests for help are falling on deaf ears.The principal ( Ms Sonia Khanna ) is never avaialble .This is not correct and not fair at all.

The million dollar question is : Is it fair to treat a girl child of a poor family like this ? Does she not have the right to education in our country ?
Media Khabar has taken the initiative to fight on behalf of the parents of Ms T.Pavitra and will take it to the end .Will mainstream media take the initiative of help this poor child and her parents ?

I had visited your school last week on 06 July,2013 in order to meet you but could not do so as you were not in school.I did leave a message for you.I had called for you today but was told that you were not available in the school.I left a message for you and am following up with an email.

Ms Pavitra belongs to a very poor family.Her mother works as a house maid in people’s houses.Apparently,as per govt’s policies, she should be given due benefits of belonging to an economically weaker section of society.
Your school has charged her full fees ( copies of fees paid attached ).We request you to kindly look into this case and help the parents of this child so that they can carry on the education of their child .
