Defamation case against Director, Sahara Q Shop Limited
Social activist Nutan Thakur has registered an FIR against Director, Sahara Q Shop Unique Products Range Limited, Mumbai under section 500 IPC related with defamation.
Nutan along with her husband IPS officer Amitabh Thakur and another person had sent a complaint on 06 November 2012 to SEBI, Registrar of Companies, Mumbai and others to enquire into alleged collection of money through Sahara Q shop scheme against the provisions of law.
Director, Sahara Q shop replied through his letter dated 21 December 2012 to ROC, Mumbai where he denied the charges and also alleged the complainants acting with vested reasons to get Companies operations de-established and being White-collar extortionist.
Amitabh and Nutan sent legal notices on 01 February and 02 May 2013 asking the Director, Sahara Q shop either to present facts in support of his statements or to seek unconditional apology. When no response came from the other side, Nutan got the FIR registered calling these imputations defamatory.
